Drilling Optimization by Using Advanced Drilling Techniques in Buzurgan Oil Field

Efficient and cost-effective drilling of directional wells necessitates the implementation best practices advanced techniques to optimize operations. Failure adequately consider risks can result in inefficient operations non-productive time (NPT). Although may be expensive, they offer promising technical solutions for mitigating risks. This paper aims demonstrate effectiveness improving when compared conventional techniques. Specifically, employed Buzurgan Oil Field, including vertical with mud motor, managed pressure (MPD), rotary steerable system (RSS), expandable liner hanger (ELH), are investigated evaluated through case study analyses, comparing their performance that The findings indicate motor exhibits superior wellbore verticality bottom hole assemblies (BHA) 17 ½" section. MPD systems 12 ¼" section safe higher rates penetration (ROP) than methods. Rotary exhibit reduced tortuosity achieve ROP usage 8.5" 6" sections. Lastly, investigations cases reveal subpar cement quality first remedial work second case, highlighting successful ELH offset field. Overall, this highlights advantages utilizing showcasing ability mitigate enhance approaches.
